Klaus Blache, director of UT’s Reliability and Maintainability Center, recently presented the keynote address at a conference on Technology Adoption in Industry in Seattle.
Hosted by Fluke Corporation the meeting was attended by global technology experts and reliability leaders from industry, giving Blache the opportunity to speak to corporate leaders in the field.
Blache had the opportunity to talk about the practice in general, but also about the center at UT, which passed the 50-member threshold earlier this year and provides courses and training for others in industry.
The center’s main task involves taking real-world scenarios and problematic issues from corporations into a classroom environment, giving businesses the answers they need while also giving students a chance to gain experience that would typically come only after graduation.
