
John Orme, professor of social work, was recently selected to become a Fellow in the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare. The American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare is an honorific society of distinguished scholars and practitioners dedicated to achieving excellence in the field of social work and social welfare through high-impact work that advances social good.
Orme’s substantive interest and expertise are in the area of foster care, and especially foster families. His methodological interests and expertise are in the development and testing of measures for social work practice and research, applied statistical issues, and outcome-informed evidence-based practice.
