
Andy Puckett is an associate professor and the Massingale Scholar in the Department of Finance. He joined the UT faculty in 2009 and teaches both undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of investments and derivatives. His primary research interests are in the areas of institutional investing, analysts, taxes, and market microstructure.
Recently Puckett and his coauthors have had papers accepted at two premier journals, Management Science and the Journal of Financial Economics: “FORE! An analysis of CEO shirking,” (Andy Puckett with David Cicero and Lee Bickerstaff), forthcoming in Management Science, and “Unethical Culture, Suspect CEOs and Corporate Misbehavior,” (Andy Puckett with David Cicero and Lee Bickerstaff), forthcoming in Journal of Financial Economics. The Management Science paper was the subject of a recent CNBC feature.
Puckett has also published in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Accounting Studies, Journal of Corporate Finance, and the Journal of the American Taxation Association. His research has been presented at numerous national and international finance conferences including the American Finance Association, the National Bureau of Economic Research, the Western Finance Association, and Singapore International Conference.
