
Chad Autry, associate professor of supply chain management, has published nine peer-reviewed journal articles in the last year. Although the focus of his research is in the area of logistics, where he has published 12 articles in the top journal in the field, the Journal of Business Logistics, he has also published widely in high level operations management journals, including the Journal of Operations Management, marketing journals, including the Journal of Retailing, and strategic management journals, including the Strategic Management Journal. Notably, Autry and his co-author were awarded the “Best Paper Award” in 2010 in the Journal of Operations Management, a Financial Times 45 journal. In addition to this output, he has three journal articles under review at top journals, one working paper in preparation for submission to a Financial Times 45 journal, and a book manuscript under contract with Financial Times Press.
Autry’s prominence in logistics research is further documented by his recent appointment to three editorial positions: Co-Editor in Chief for the Journal of Supply Chain Management; Systems (Analytical) Editor for the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, and Associate Editor for the top journal in the field, the Journal of Business Logistics. Autry won the 2011 Ozburn Award for Innovative Research from the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management and the 2012 Outstanding Researcher Award from the College of Business Administration, and he has been awarded best reviewer awards from two prominent supply chain journals.
