Ben Feldmeyer is a criminologist and assistant professor in the Department of Sociology who studies the variation of crime across racial and ethnic differences. His work is also focused on differences in sentencing across different social groups in the United States. Dr. Feldmeyer’s work is especially significant because it debunks stereotypes that have grown over the years about the violence of certain ethnic or racial groups. Dr. Feldmeyer’s recent publications have included articles in highly prestigious criminology journals such as Criminology, the Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, and Sociological Quarterly.
