Elizabeth R. DeGeorge, publications manager at the College of Social Work’s Office of Research and Public Service (SWORPS), and her publications team recently won a Davey Award from the International Academy of Visual Arts. The silver trophy for art direction/graphic design was awarded to the group for their brochure “Social Work: the Human Profession.” Members of the team besides DeGeorge who worked on the brochure include Vicky Bridgeforth, Margot Kline, and Kirche Rogers.
The International Academy of Visual Arts created the Davey Awards to honor outstanding creative work from the best small agencies and companies around the world. The Davey Award is named after David who defeated the giant Goliath. The awards honor the achievement of small groups with big ideas.
SWORPS serves the university and many agencies throughout the state. The broad range of services offered by this UT office is showcased at https://www.sworps.utk.edu/2008_eportfolio/.
