Neal Shover, UTK professor emeritus of sociology, is one of five academicians invited recently to present papers to the Committee on Law and Justice of the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC.  Shover’s presentation (“White Collar Crime: Defined and the Big Picture”) reflects his continuing interest and research on respectable crime. Shover and a colleague recently presented their invited paper (“Consumer Fraud:  Who Commits It, Why, and a Policy Bearing”) at the Stanford Conference on Prevention of Financial Fraud in Washington, DC.
