Joseph Carcello, Ernst & Young Professor in the Department of Accounting and Information Management, was recently named as a member of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board’s (PCAOB) Investor Advisory Group. He is the only academic appointed to the board that helps establish auditing and professional practice standards for all public companies in the U.S.

Fundamentals of Financial Management (13th ed.) by James Van Horne and John M. Wachowicz was recently published in a Chinese-language version by Tsinghua University Press/Pearson Education, Ltd. Wachowicz is a professor in the Department of Finance.

A journal article co-authored by Nalin C. P. Edirisinghe, professor in the Department of Statistics, Operations, and Management Science, was selected as one of the 50 best articles published in 2008 in the field of management science. The article, “Portfolio Selection under DEA-based Relative Financial Strength Indicators: Case of US Industries,” was published in the Journal of the Operational Research Society.
