Amy Mundorff

Amy Mundorff, assistant professor of anthropology, recently received a Fulbright award and will be traveling to Colombia this July to lead workshops and assess curricula at the Autonomous University of Colombia. Specifically, she has been asked to assess forensic science and human rights investigations from an anthropological perspective, and to provide guidelines to assist in the evaluation of appropriate graduate research project proposals.

In addition, Mundorff was awarded a significant Department of Defense grant earlier this Spring to aid in her ground-breaking research on detecting clandestine mass graves. This work has attracted the focus of a number of media outlets over the past year and has brought added visibility and attention to forensic anthropology at UT.
