Kivanc Ekici, assistant professor in mechanical, aerospace, and biomedical engineering, is a corecipient of the John P. Davis Award for best paper of the year from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ International Gas Turbine Institute. Ekici and coauthors received the honor for the paper, “Nonlinear Flutter in Fan Stator Vanes with Time Dependent Fixity” at the 2012 Turbo Expo in Copenhagen.
