Pioneering forensic anthropologist Bill Bass has had a building named after him on the campus of the UT Medical Center. Bass, professor emeritus in anthropology, created new ways to study human remains that are now standard procedures in criminal investigations. He also created the Donated Skeletal Collection, the largest collection of modern bones in the United States.
